Lauren & Kyle's Perfect Pizza Party

It isn’t every day that you profile a wedding where the reception was held at a pizzeria! But, then again, there is a first for everything! Lauren & Kyle got married in Pretoria in September and their photographers at 5 Talents Photography captured their ceremony and quirky reception at the famed Toni’s Fully Furbished Pizza Co. perfectly.

With mosaic patterns playing a role due to the venue’s incorporation of this design element, Terry from Ribbon Weddings made sure this and the green, blue, brown and yellow colour palette came together seamlessly. Admittedly, this wasn’t an easy colour combination or design theme, but Terry pulled it off, by incorporating a “Secret Garden” look with plenty foliage and fairy lights.

Heavenly Highveld Winter Wedding

With tomorrow officially being the last day of Winter, we thought we would share this stunning Highveld Winter wedding with you. Charlene and Gerhard got married in July and their photographer was the lovely Stella Uys. This pretty pastel wedding was held at farm style wedding venue Lezar Opstal in Heidelberg, just outside of Jozi. We love the rustic barn look which paired so nicely with the polished table settings. Lovely Highveld Winter Wedding

We all know that winter isn’t really the preferred season to get married in for Highveld brides. Which is a bit odd because our winters are fairly pleasant, and with beautiful sunshine and almost no risk of rain (global warming permitting), our winter days are often better than what our friends in the northern hemisphere experience on a good Summer’s day!

Having said that, we wanted to show you Riette and Eugene’s stunning winter wedding taken this June by our friend Alexander Smith at Olive Mystery in Bapsfontein. We love the little flower girl’s in their winter outfits, Riette’s grey shrug, and the couples laid back and relaxed approach which was permeated through their choice of venue and in the details of their wedding.
