Stunning River Place Wedding by Laura Jane Photography

River Place, on the Hennops River, is really a gem of a wedding venue in Gauteng. Tranquil and scenic, one could easily forget you are just a short drive from Jozi.

This is where Linzi and Clinton decided to tie the knot. We love this wedding because of the black and white simplistic detailing, the Baobab tent, the white dance floor and Chinese lanterns. The reception oozes class and it just goes to show that if you decide on a wedding in the country, you can do it with modern flair! Swoon-worthy details include the black laser cut birdies used as table names, the choice of an array of white flowers for the centrepieces, the page boys’ outfits and the beautiful bride’s headpiece... to just name a few.

Perfect wedding at Imperfect Perfection

Terry has to be one of the most featured brides on this here blog. (We covered her E-session and Bridal shower and now we're covering her wedding). Being my sister's best friend, we've seen her plan her perfect day from the moment Erin popped the question. There is nothing better than reliving the fruits of her efforts with these stunning pics of her big day from Laura Jane Photography. Terry is a detail orientated kinda gal and decided to theme her wedding around the concept of trees which worked so well from her invitations, to her motifs used on the tables. She handmade her runners and bouquets and, being the owner of Ribbon Design Stationary, created all the invitation and menus etc.

The result was a wonderfully personal wedding, sprinkled with all the touches a savvy DIY bride would wish for, especially since everything looked so polished and professionally put together.

Cute E-session at Church Square, Pretoria

Hello friends! We’re back from our amazing trip to Paris and ready to blog our little wedding hearts away this week!

First up is this super cute e-session taken by the lovely Laura Jane from Laura Jane Photography, featuring one of our dear friends and vendors Terry from Ribbon Wedding Design. Terry is getting married in the next couple of weeks and we just know it is going to be fabulous...

This engagement shoot was taken in downtown Pretoria, where the beautiful old buildings and Church square made a perfect backdrop. These photos came out beautifully and it just goes to show what a difference the location can make! Ofcourse, a fun loving couple being the subject doesn’t hurt either! Inspirational DIY wedding at Kleinkaap, Centurion

Happy Monday friends! So sorry for being quiet, but I was in Cape Town last week for a bit of R & R...although I spent more time perusing vintage stores and cafes along the City Bowl and Southern Suburbs more than anything else...

Nevertheless, I happen to have a treat for you today. The lovely Gauteng based Laura from LauraJane Photography recently posted such a stunning DIY wedding held at Kleinkaap in Centurion and I just had to share it with you. The bride’s vision is so inspiring! She made all the stationery, the bunting, table decorations and boutonnieres. We are particularly loving her seating chart (rosette badges on ribbons which guests could pin to their outfits so everyone knew who was who ...so clever!) and the word search puzzle guests could play with while they wait. We love it all!

Autumn wedding at Avianto

Avianto in Muldersdrift is one of the most sought after venues on the wedding mile and it’s easy to see why. It has wonderful gardens and beautiful Tuscan exteriors and is a photographers dream. This stunning wedding taken by the super Laura Jayne Photography doesn’t disappoint. The colour palette included lilacs, blue greys and creams.
